Character Information
Name: Razputin "Raz" Aquato
Age: 12
House: Gryffindor
Year: 2nd
Background: Raz is a half-blood wizard, and though he is aware of this fact he is not completely sure which of his parents is the magical one as his family is almost fully immersed in the Muggle world. It is clear that after getting married his parents made the decision to not live as a magical family, though Raz does not understand why. He believes his father is the wizard, but also believes he hates them and most things having to do with magic. One of the few facts he knows is that the ancestors on the magical side were cursed by a dark wizard to die in water, giving him a lifelong phobia of any body of water that is remotely deep. He has spent his entire life working in a traveling circus with his parents, where they all do acrobatics and his parents perform magic shows, though any tricks that actually involve real magic are not too spectacular so the Muggle's don't become suspicious. Despite this life, Raz was always somewhat aware that he was indeed a wizard and spent his free time trying to find out as much as he could about it, though his parents would not tell him much.
Just before he turned eleven he received his Hogwarts acceptance letter, however his father initially did not like the idea and tore it up. More were sent, and he took this as a sign to let Raz go ahead, though from Raz's perspective he was not very happy about having to do this. Raz was sent off to school with the promise that during his breaks he would join his parents wherever the circus may be and continue working. He is not very happy about this, but at this point he has no choice. He has not sent them any owls in his first months at school. However, he is completely immersed in his classes and is enjoying his time finally getting to study magic and meet other children that are similarly gifted.
Raz is very talented and energetic. Despite his young age, he has the wit and intelligence of someone much older. He is very enthusiastic and always wanting to gain more skills and use them in battle, if not to be completely mischievous with them. He will dive head-first into dangerous situations and even complain if he is not allowed to fight, but his intentions are usually good and in the spirit of protecting others.
